March 2016 Winning Recipe

1 lb Rye Malt
1 lb Crystal 80
.5 lb Victrory Malt

 
Steep about 155 for 30 minutes

 
Add
8 lbs dry light malt extract

 
Bring to boil

 
Add
2 oz Tettenger hops

 
Boil 30 minutes

 
Add
2 oz Tettenger hops

 
Boil 15 minutes

 
Add
1 lb washed raw sugar

 
Boil 10 minutes

 
Add
1 oz Tettenger hops

 
Boil 5 minutes

 
Remove from heat.  Cool to ~70 degrees F, add Wyeast 1028 London Ale yeast.  Ferment about a week.  Moved to Secondary where is aged about a month and a half.  Bottled and it has been sitting there ever since.  Originally brewed on July 18.
